Philippines: Duterte Calls For Halt Of EDCA Implementation

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Jan. 29 told the United States to stop implementation of the 2014 Enhanced Defence Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) between the two countries, which grants U.S. forces rotational access to a number of Philippine military bases and allows the U.S. to store humanitarian and maritime security equipment of the bases, Rappler reported.
