U.S.: National Security Advisor Post Offered To Former Vice Adm. Robert Harward

The administration of President Donald Trump has offered former Vice Adm. Robert Harward the post of national security advisor, according to unnamed officials, Reuters reported Feb. 15. The administration has not confirmed the information and there are no reports as to whether Harward has yet responded. Harward was the deputy commander of U.S. Central Command from 2011 to 2013 and served on the National Security Council under former President George W. Bush. If confirmed, he would replace former Defense Intelligence Agency chief Michael Flynn for the post.
