Syria: Opposition Says Regime Forces Used Phosphorous Bombs

A Syrian opposition activist said helicopters flown by regime forces dropped phosphorous bombs on Dayr al-Zawr, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported Dec. 7. An activist also said residents in Daraa reported that regime forces on Dec. 6 used strange bombs that caused people to faint. Syria's chemical weapons are more useful as a negotiating tool than as a military tactic.
