Nepal: More Than 25 Activists Injured During Protest

More than 25 people were injured during protests in Dailekh, Nepal, on Jan. 23, Reuters reported. Activists from seven opposition parties gathered outside the venue of a Maoist conference and called for the resignation of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. This is the first major sign of political unrest in light of the brewing crisis over the failure to develop a new constitution since the end of the Maoist insurgency.
