Mexico: Death Toll In Pemex Blast Increases

At least 32 people have been confirmed dead from the Jan. 31 explosion at Mexico City's Pemex Tower, the headquarters of the state-owned oil company, and another 121 people were injured, Pemex CEO Emilio Lozoya said Feb. 1, Reuters reported. Lozoya said the cause of the blast is still unclear, as such an incident cannot be explained quickly. An unnamed government official said early evidence points to a gas boiler blowing up in an administrative building next to the main tower, although this is not certain.
