Mali: President Rules Out Talks With Islamists

Malian President Dioncounda Traore on Jan. 31 ruled out talks with Islamist groups in the country's north, but said he is prepared to meet with Tuareg activists from the region, including representatives of the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad, AFP reported, citing an interview with Radio France International. Groups like Ansar Dine are ineligible for dialogue, Traore said.
