Mali: French-Led Forces Retake Northern Town

French-led Malian soldiers have recaptured the northern Malian town of Hombori, AFP reported Jan. 25. Residents of Hombori told AFP that no Islamists remained there and that the town was "at peace" after the Malians and French took over security there. The French intervention force has been consolidating its positions in Mali.
