Kuwait: Police Use Stun Grenades To Disperse Protesters

Kuwaiti police used stun grenades and smoke to disperse protesters in the capital Jan. 22, Reuters reported. The protesters were demanding the dissolution of parliament and fresh elections. An earlier demonstration occurred in the eastern part of the country without police intervention, but police broke up a later march that was headed toward a highway.
