Israel: Rocket Landed Near U.S. Embassy

Stratfor has learned that of the rockets fired from the Gaza Strip at Tel Aviv on Nov. 16, all believed to be Fajr 5 rockets, one landed in the sea off the beach where the U.S. Embassy is located. The rocket disappeared into the water just past the wave breakers in front of a bar popular with tourists. The embassy compound is next door. While Hamas has claimed responsibility for the rocket fire on Tel Aviv, no details have been given regarding the group's exact targets.
