Iraq: President In Stable Condition

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's condition has been stabilized after being hospitalized Dec. 17, reportedly after suffering a stroke, according to a Dec. 18 statement released by Talabani's office, PUKmedia reported. In an earlier statement, Talibani's office said he had been hospitalized due to exhaustion. The president is still unconscious, making it difficult for doctors to assess the severity of the stroke, unnamed medical sources said, AIN reported.
