Iran: Fighter Jets Fired On U.S. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, Officials Say

Two Iranian fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. Air Force Predator unmanned aerial vehicle in international air space over the Persian Gulf last week, unnamed U.S. officials said, CNN reported Nov. 8. The UAV, which was not hit, was conducting routine maritime surveillance at the time, the officials said. The jets were reportedly part of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has been more confrontational than other Iranian military forces.
