Egypt: Police Fire Tear Gas At Protesters

Egyptian police fired tear gas at protesters at the governorate headquarters in Kafr El-Sheikh, Ahram Online reported Feb. 8. Eight protesters reportedly were injured during the clash, which broke out when several protesters tried to enter the headquarters to hold a sit-in. A wave of violent protests against Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood-led government has led the military to call for opposition leaders to end the violence.
