Egypt: Freedom And Justice Party Headquarters In Alexandria Reportedly Torched

The headquarters of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood-led Freedom and Justice Party in Alexandria was torched Aug. 17 following clashes between protesters and authorities, Al Arabiya reported. Elsewhere, four Muslim Brotherhood leaders were arrested in Damanhor, Al Arabiya reported. Earlier, the son of Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie was shot and killed during clashes on Aug. 16. The Brotherhood has demonstrated an ability to weather far worse suppression, but this time it is facing a different sort of crisis — one that could strip its status as Egypt's largest political movement.
