Denmark: Nordic Countries Plan Joint Fleet Of Military Transport Planes

The Nordic countries Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland reached an agreement to in the future operate a joint fleet of military transport planes, The Copenhagen Post reported Nov. 8. The countries also agreed to the possibility of sharing the costs of field rations, batteries and ammunition for hand weapons, and to share the responsibilities for radar surveillance and tug boats. The development advances a pattern of increasing security collaboration within the Nordic region.
