Bahrain: Protesters Clash With Police

Hundreds of anti-government protesters clashed with Bahraini police Dec. 16 after King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa gave a speech calling for unity, AP reported. Police dispersed protesters by firing tear gas. Anti-government protests in Bahrain, which have been occurring regularly since February 2011, appear to be intensifying.
