Bahrain: Covert Cell Of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Discovered, Authorities Say

Bahraini authorities said in a statement to the official Bahrain News Agency late Feb. 19 that a cell of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps called the "Imam Army" is operating in Bahrain, Reuters reported Feb. 20. The group, working under an operative codenamed Abu Naser, planned to target the Ministry of Interior and Bahrain International Airport, an official said. Members attended training camps run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran, as well as some operated by Iraq's Hezbollah in Baghdad and the Iraqi city of Kerbala, the official said.
