China: Grain Market Stable Despite Global Drop
China's domestic grain market remains robust despite a drop in global yields due to drought in major exporting countries, including the United States and Russia, Xinhua reported Aug. 22. The country's total grain output for the first half of 2012 reached 129.95 million metric tons, marking an increase of 2.8 from the same period in 2011.
