Cuba: 75,000 Private-sector Work Permits Granted

The Cuban government has granted roughly 75,000 self-employment permits during the first two months of its initiative to boost the private sector, Reuters reported Jan. 7, citing Granma. The government began granting the licenses in October 2010 and aims to hand out 250,000 permits.
