U.S.: Biden Calls For Security Cooperation In Central Europe

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said Oct. 22 during a speech in Bucharest that central and eastern European states should become more involved in fighting security threats and working with other former Soviet states, Reuters reported. Biden said in his speech from the Central University Library of Bucharest that central European states can help Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus to achieve peace and stability, and that the EU Eastern European Partnership Initiative in an example of how to coordinate efforts.
