EUROPE

  • Jan. 10: The high-level commission that oversees Iran's nuclear deal will meet in Vienna to address a complaint by Teheran about the U.S. renewing sanctions.
  • Jan. 11: The Italian Constitutional Court will publish its decision on whether to allow three referendum questions on the Jobs Act.
  • Jan. 11: The governing council of the European Central Bank will hold its non-monetary policy meeting in Frankfurt.
  • Jan. 12: The Euro Working Group will gather to discuss Greece.
  • Jan. 12: The five-party conference on Cyprus will take place in Geneva between the Greek Cypriot government, the Turkish Cypriot government, the United Kingdom, Greece and Turkey.
  • Jan. 15: France will host an Israeli-Palestinian peace conference.
EURASIA
  • Jan. 11: Japanese Minister of Economy Hiroshige Seko will visit Russia.
ASIA-PACIFIC
  • Jan. 12: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit the Philippines.
  • Jan. 12-15: The general secretary of Vietnam's Communist Party, Nguyen Phu Trong, will make an official visit to China.
  • Jan. 15: Representatives from South Korea, the United States and Japan will meet in Seoul to reaffirm the security alliance against North Korea.
SOUTH ASIA
  • Jan 7-13: Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa will visit India.
  • Jan. 9-12: Rwandan President Paul Kagame will visit India.
MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA
  • Jan. 9: Lebanese President Michel Aoun will visit Saudi Arabia, followed by visits to Qatar and Egypt.
  • Jan. 9: Russian officials will visit Turkey to discuss Astana talks on the Syrian civil war.
  • Jan. 10: Iranian lawmakers will gather with Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials to discuss the nuclear deal.
  • Jan. 10: Hamas will participate in the preparatory meetings for the Palestinian National Council session in Beirut.
  • Jan. 15: Algerian Energy Minister Noureddine Boutarfa and Kuwaiti Oil Minister Essam Abdul Mohsen Al-Marzouq will convene a meeting to monitor the implementation of an agreement on oil production cuts.
  • Jan. 15: Fatah, Hamas and other Palestinian factions will meet in Moscow.

AMERICAS

  • Jan. 10: Colombia's government and the National Liberation Army (ELN) will resume peace talks in Quito.
  • Jan. 10: Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen will attend the inauguration ceremony of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega during her tour of several Latin American countries.
SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA
  • Jan. 10: Gambia's Supreme Court will conduct a hearing of the presidential poll petition concerning the Dec. 1 election outcome and is scheduled to issue a verdict.
  • Jan. 13: The France-Africa summit will be hosted by Mali in Bamako.
