Chief Security Officer

Fred Burton is one of the world's foremost authorities on security and terrorism. He oversees Stratfor's analysis of global security developments and consults with clients on security-related issues affecting their business assets or personal safety. He also guides the firm's coverage of situations involving terrorism, hostages and hijackings, and plane crashes. Before joining Stratfor, Mr. Burton was a counterterrorism agent with the U.S. State Department from 1985 to 1999.

Scott Stewart

VP of Tactical Analysis

Scott Stewart supervises Stratfor's analysis of terrorism and security issues. Before joining Stratfor, he was a special agent with the U.S. State Department for 10 years and was involved in hundreds of terrorism investigations.

Rodger Baker

Rodger Baker

VP of Strategic Analysis

Rodger Baker leads Stratfor's analysis of Asia Pacific and South Asia and guides the company's forecasting process. A Stratfor analyst since 1997, he has played a pivotal role in developing and refining the company's analytical process, internal training programs and geopolitical framework.

Zhixing Zhang focuses on political, security and economic issues pertaining to China and Southeast Asia. Her areas of focus include China's foreign policy and socio-political development, maritime conflicts in the South and East China seas, and political and economic development in Southeast Asia.

John Minnich

John Minnich

Senior East Asia Analyst

John Minnich analyzes political, economic and security trends in East Asia. His areas of focus include political reform and development in China and Japan, China's energy industry, and maritime tensions in the South and East China seas.

Mr. Minnich graduated from Cornell University and spent two years living in China, where he studied history and politics at Sichuan University in Chengdu. He holds a master's in international relations from the University of Chicago and is fluent in Mandarin.

As Stratfor's Senior Europe Analyst, Adriano Bosoni focuses on political, social and economic issues pertaining to the European Union and the eurozone.
 
Mr. Bosoni holds a journalism degree from The Universidad del Salvador in Argentina as well as a master's degree in international relations from The Universita di Bologna in Italy. He is also a former Fulbright scholar. Mr. Bosoni is a native of Argentina, where he worked as a journalist, editor and university professor prior to joining Stratfor.

Lauren Goodrich

Senior Eurasia Analyst

Lauren Goodrich is a senior Eurasia analyst and Soviet Union specialist. Her key areas of expertise are politics, business, economics and security in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
 
Ms. Goodrich lived in Russia during the Yeltsin-Putin transition and taught at Tomsk Polytechnic University. She holds degrees from both the Tomsk Polytechnic University and the University of Texas at Austin in Russian language; Russian, Eastern European and Eurasian studies; Slavic literature and religious studies.
 

Eugene Chausovsky

Eugene Chausovsky

Senior Eurasia Analyst

Eugene Chausovsky focuses on political, economic and security issues pertaining to the former Soviet Union, Europe and Latin America. He was previously a researcher at the University of Texas, where he focused on Russian demographic trends and their impact on the country's political and electoral systems. He also holds a degree in international relations from the same university.
 
Mr. Chausovsky was born in Moscow and is a fluent Russian speaker. He lived in Ukraine, Austria and Italy before moving to the United States.

As Vice President of International Operations, Mark Schroeder guides Stratfor's high-level international relationships in government, business and media. Mr. Schroeder leads Stratfor's proprietary intelligence collection and source development priorities across seven global regions in support of our multiple lines of business.

Tristan Reed

Security Analyst

As the lead analyst on Mexico's security issues, Tristan Reed focuses on the broad geographic trends of organized crime and tactical movements of individual criminal groups. He is an expert on Mexico's criminal cartels and their impact on security throughout Mexico and neighboring countries. He also assists in the analysis of security-related topics around the world, including jihadist and criminal trends in Pakistan and political violence in Afghanistan.
 

Paul Floyd

Paul Floyd

Military Analyst/Director of Analyst Operations

Paul Floyd tracks and monitors a wide range of strategic and tactical issues concerning military forces around the world.
 
Mr. Floyd spent more than seven years in the U.S. Army's 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, before joining Stratfor. Among other leadership positions, he led an Afghan Special Operations squad on 35 missions. He was deployed eight times during his Army career — four times to Iraq and four times to Afghanistan. Mr. Floyd holds a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin.
 

Rebecca Keller

Science and Technology Analyst

Rebecca Keller focuses on areas where geopolitics intersects with science and technology. Her areas of interest include biotechnology, water scarcity, energy storage and renewable energy technologies, agricultural trends and epidemiology, among other things. Dr. Keller holds a doctorate in organic chemistry from Colorado State University and a bachelor's in biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis. Before joining Stratfor, she conducted a year of postdoctoral research in chemical biology at the University of Colorado Boulder. 

Matthew Bey

Energy Analyst

Matthew Bey is an energy and technology analyst for Stratfor, where he monitors a variety of global issues and trends. In particular, he focuses on energy and political developments in OPEC member states and the consequences of such developments on oil producers and the international oil market. Mr. Bey's work includes studies on the global impact of rising U.S. energy production, the recent fall in oil prices, Russia's political influence on Europe through energy, and long-term trends in energy and manufacturing.

Omar Lamrani

Omar Lamrani

Senior Military Analyst

Omar Lamrani focuses on air power, naval strategy, technology, logistics and military doctrine for a number of regions, including the Middle East and Asia. He studied international relations at Clark University and holds a master's degree from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, where his thesis centered on Chinese military doctrine and the balance of power in the Western Pacific.
 

Sim Tack

Senior Analyst

Sim Tack is a senior analyst at Stratfor, tracking and analyzing military developments on both a tactical and strategic level across regions globally. As part of this, he has worked on projects relating to global arms procurement, development of the Russian military, as well as building tactical insight in specific conflicts such as the war in Eastern Ukraine, Israeli operations in Gaza, coalition operations against the Islamic state and Libya's civil war.
 

Emily Hawthorne

Emily Hawthorne is a Middle East and North Africa analyst at Stratfor. She monitors political, business and security developments across the region, with a special focus on North Africa and Gulf Cooperation Council member states. Prior to working at Stratfor, Ms. Hawthorne worked as the regional director for a U.S. media company in Dubai.

Reggie Thompson

Latin America Analyst

Reggie Thompson is a Latin America analyst at Stratfor, where he focuses on political and security developments in the region. He studied political science and communications at Trinity University and holds a master's in international affairs from Texas A&M University. Mr. Thompson is a native Spanish speaker and has lived and worked in Honduras.

Stephen Rakowski

Sub-Saharan Africa Analyst

Stephen Rakowski is a Sub-Saharan Africa Analyst at Stratfor, where he monitors political, security and economic trends unfolding across the continent. Mr. Rakowski holds a master's in government with a focus on diplomacy and conflict studies from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in Israel. He also holds a bachelor's in international relations from Franklin University Switzerland in Lugano, Switzerland. In addition to his studies, Mr. Rakowski has traveled and lived throughout Madagascar, Morocco and Kyrgyzstan.

Jay Ogilvy

Jay Ogilvy joined Stratfor's board of contributors in January 2015. In 1979, he left a post as a professor of philosophy at Yale to join SRI, the former Stanford Research Institute, as director of research. Dr. Ogilvy co-founded the Global Business Network of scenario planners in 1987. He is the former dean and chief academic officer of San Francisco’s Presidio Graduate School. Dr. Ogilvy has published nine books, including Many Dimensional Man, Creating Better Futures and Living Without a Goal.

Philip Bobbitt is a leading constitutional theorist whose interests include international security and the history of military strategy. He currently serves on the faculties of Columbia Law School and the University of Texas, where he is the Herbert Wechsler Professor of Jurisprudence and Distinguished Senior Lecturer, respectively. He has published eight books. His bestsellers include The Shield of Achilles: War, Peace and the Course of History (2002) and Terror and Consent: The Wars for the Twenty-First Century (2008).

Ian Morris is a historian and archaeologist. He is currently Stanford University's Jean and Rebecca Willard Professor of Classics and serves on the faculty of the Stanford Archaeology Center. He has published twelve books and has directed excavations in Greece and Italy.

Dr. Luc De Keyser currently serves as the chief medical information officer at Xperthis, the largest provider of hospital information systems solutions in Belgium. He has done pioneering work in multicenter clinical trials, medical ontologies, paleonutrition and examining human conflict from an evolutionary perspective.

Anisa Mehdi

Anisa Mehdi is a documentary filmmaker and journalist. She has won two Emmys, a Cine Golden Eagle, and numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. She was the first American to cover the Hajj pilgrimage on location in Saudi Arabia and made National Geographic's acclaimed "Inside Mecca" as well as two other hajj films for PBS. Her work on Arabs and Muslims has appeared on CBS, PBS, and ABC's Nightline.

David Sikora is Stratfor's executive chairman and CEO. He joined Stratfor to lead market expansion, digital engagement and product transformation initiatives following an investment from private equity firm Teakwood Capital, where he serves as an executive partner.

Paul Baker

Paul Baker

Chief Financial Officer

Paul Baker is Stratfor's Chief Financial Officer. He oversees the financial direction for the company and is responsible for finance, accounting, human resources, recruitment, facilities and operations.

Before joining Stratfor, Mr. Baker has held executive finance positions in both public and private companies for more than 20 years. Mr. Baker served as CFO at Troux Technologies and Motive and held several executive financial positions with Sterling Software and Ernst & Young.

Bret Boyd

Bret Boyd

Vice President of Enterprise Business

Bret Boyd leads Stratfor’s enterprise business, which includes products and advisory services to support executives and fund managers operating in international markets. Prior to Stratfor, Mr. Boyd served in leadership roles at several high-growth companies and as an officer in the U.S. Special Operations Command. Mr. Boyd is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he studied international relations and systems engineering.

David D. Judson

David D. Judson

Editor-in-Chief

David D. Judson is Stratfor’s editor-in-chief. He oversees both the global network of the company’s information gathering area specialists as well as the publishing team in Austin that works with analysts to craft Stratfor’s work into written, video and graphic form. Before joining Stratfor, Mr. Judson worked for the Istanbul-based Dogan Media Group for eight years, first as managing editor of the Turkish-language business daily Referans and later as editor-in-chief of the Hurriyet Daily News, the company’s English paper. Before his work internationally, Mr.

Ken Maranian
