Billing & Account Management

I don't seem to be getting my Stratfor email? What could account for this?
Please 1st check your Email Settings:
1. Log in using the "Log In" link at the top of the home page.
2. Click the “My Account” link at the top of the page. This brings you to your account page.
3. Click the “Email Settings” tab. Under this tab, you will be able to view if your email preferences are selected.

If your Email Preferences are selected, but you are still not receiving content, you will need to check your Spam or Junk email folders, and add [email protected] to your address book in Outlook or your email client. You may also need to check with your ISP or your company’s IT department, and please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Where is the CVV on my credit card?

American Express

On an American Express card, the CVV is located on the front of the card, just above the credit card number.

Visa, MasterCard, Discover

On Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards, the CVV is on the back of the card, in the top right corner of the signature block. If your CVV begins with a “0” or was issued outside the United States, please contact us.

How do I change my billing information?
  1. Log in using the "Log In" link at the top of the home page.
  2. Click the “My Account” link at the top of the page. This brings you to your account page.
  3. Click the “Billing Information” tab.
  4. Click "Replace Credit Card."
How do I retrieve a forgotten username or password?

Your username is your email address. If you are not currently logged in, visit the request new password page to have a new password emailed to you. If you are logged in and would like to change your password, click the "My Account" link, click the "Account Settings" tab, and set up your new password there.

What do I do if I don't want to use a credit card?

Please contact us. We will provide instructions for bank wires or alternative payment methods.

How do I manage my email preferences?

How do I cancel my membership?

How do I find my Subscription Receipt?

Go to My Account and under the Receipts Tab you can pull all your Subscription Receipts.

What is Stratfor's political orientation?

Stratfor is rigorously non-partisan and non-ideological. We are privately owned and we are not affiliated with any governmental or non-governmental agency. We are an objective intelligence service that provides information about what has happened or will happen, not what should happen. We make no policy prescriptions or advocacy statements.

What's the difference between "news" and "intelligence"?

News is a commodity that you can get anywhere on the Internet. Intelligence today is what's going to be news tomorrow. Stratfor provides three types of intelligence products:

Situation Reports - Situation Reports are brief updates of important developments around the globe. It's an intelligence professional's responsibility — Stratfor's responsibility — to keep you apprised of what matters without wasting your time with clutter. We provide coverage on a variety of topics, from street revolutionary movements to military invasions.

Analyses - Stratfor tells its members what events in the world actually mean. We also tell you when events are unimportant. Oftentimes the seemingly momentous is geopolitically irrelevant, and vice versa. We discern what's important objectively — without ideology, partisan agenda or policy prescription.

Forecasts - Knowing what happened yesterday is helpful; knowing what's going to happen tomorrow is critical. Stratfor's intelligence team makes definitive calls about what happens next. These aren't opinions about what should happen; they're analytical predictions of what is to come.

Can I forward Stratfor intelligence to my colleagues, friends and family?

We encourage you to forward our free intelligence reports. However, the rest of our content is reserved for paying customers. Redistributing intellectual property to anyone who is not a paying customer is a copyright infringement and subject to legal action. Please recognize that gathering, analyzing and publishing intelligence is a very challenging — and quite frankly, expensive — undertaking. Stratfor Mobile Application

What platforms will work with the Stratfor mobile application?

The app is optimized for iOS and Android phones, and compatible with iOS and Android tablets. It is compatible with iOS versions 8 and above as well as Android versions 4.0 and above.

How much does it cost?
The app itself is free, but  Stratfor subscribers will have full access to available content, while non-subscribers will have a small selection of content. Additionally, offline  reading will only be available to subscribers.
How does the app determine what is stored on my device for offline reading?
When you log in to the app for the first time, you will have an opportunity to select what content is automatically stored on your device by topic and region. These preferences can be modified any time by using the application's menu.
When is content stored on my device?
Content you have selected to be stored will be on your device within minutes of its publication.
Why do I not see images when viewing my stored content in offline reading mode?
In order to save space on your device, and to limit bandwidth usage, images are available only when your device is connected to the Internet or through a cellular network.
Can I view videos through the app?
Stratfor's videos are not available to view through the mobile app at this time. They can be viewed on our website or through YouTube.

How do I log in to the Stratfor Mobile App?

You may log in using your usual username or email address. These are the same ones you use to log in to our website. If you have forgotten your username or password, you can click the "Login" button on the top right-hand side of the site, select the "Reset Password" tab, then type in your email address and hit the "Reset My Password" button. How do I increase the font size on my phone’s screen?

If you are using an iOS phone, please click on the "Settings" icon, and then select "General." Under "General," you will see the words "Text Size." From there, you can adjust the size of the font on your phone according to your preferences. For Android devices, please click on the "Settings" icon and select "Display" from the menu. Under "Display," you should see the words "Font size." Click on "Font size" and adjust according to your preferences.

The app is not displaying the newest Stratfor content on my home screen. How do I fix this?
