Lebanese militant group Hezbollah sprung forth from the Islamic Revolution in Iran in the late 1970s. Since its inception as a tool for Tehran, the group has branched out from militancy and become part of the political process in Lebanon — yet it has not abandoned its militant identity or tactics.
