Syria: Certain Conditions Needed Before Transitional Government Discussed – Opposition

Before the creation of a transitional government in Syria can be discussed, certain conditions – including the withdrawal of troops from towns, access to humanitarian missions and media freedom – must be met, a Syrian National Council (SNC) representative in Russia said July 10, Interfax reported. The representative added that the SNC does not rule out holding talks with ruling officials that have not participated in the regime’s use of violence.
