Russia: Moscow Ready For Radical Integration With EU – Foreign Minister
Russia is ready to take radical steps toward integration with the European Union, and President Vladimir Putin has proposed the creation of a single market spreading from the Atlantic to the Pacific, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said July 9, Interfax reported. Lavrov added that if Russia and the European Union create this integrated market, both parties would be more competitive and more resistant to fluctuations in the global economy.
