Six men were killed and three were injured during fighting between the Russian army and suspected insurgents in the Caucasus region Jan. 27, DPA reported, citing Interfax. Three of the insurgents were killed during a house raid in a village in Ingushetia territory. Army officers said one of the dead men was a rebel forces senior commander. Three Russian soldiers were killed and two more were injured during clashes in Dagestan territory.
