U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice urged Pakistan to lend total cooperation in identifying and apprehending those responsible for the Mumbai attacks, Reuters reported Dec. 1. Rice emphasized the seriousness of gaining the "highest levels" of compliance by all security forces, from the local police to the intelligence agencies. "This is a time for complete, absolute, total transparency and cooperation and that is what we expect [from Pakistan]," Rice said.
