A senior member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Abbas Ali Mansouri, dismissed Israel’s claims of Iranian involvement in the Aug. 5 attack against Egyptian troops in Rafah, Fars News Agency reported Aug. 6. Mansouri added that Israel was the only party that benefitted from the closure of the Rafah crossing, and that the attack was an Israeli plot to frame Iran.
