Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Dec. 1 said Indonesia has offered to host the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) foreign ministers' and finance ministers' meetings set to be held in Thailand because of that country's political crisis, Reuters reported. Thailand is supposed to give a final decision on the Dec. 13-17 ASEAN meetings on Dec. 2. Thai Foreign Minister Sompong Amornwiwat said he will propose to Thailand's Cabinet on Dec. 2 that the ASEAN summit be delayed until March, because the country cannot open its airport.
