Kosovar Independence and the Russian Reaction

Austin, TX, Feb. 20, 2008 – In Stratfor’s Geopolitical Intelligence Report this week Dr. George Friedman discusses the Feb. 17th declaration of independence of the Serbian province of Kosovo. Whether the move sets a precedent under which larger powers can redraw smaller nations’ boundaries without U.N. authorization has been much discussed since then.
