Maoist rebels launched an attack against a police station and two state-owned banks in the village of Madhuban in the Indian state of Bihar on June 24, resulting in 21 deaths. Out of the approximately 400 Maoists involved in the attack, about 100 of them were Nepalese, making the raid the first joint operation carried out by Indian and Nepalese rebels, according to Bihar security forces.
