Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich will visit Turkmenistan in February to discuss the resumption of direct gas supplies, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said Jan. 29, Itar-Tass reported.

National Iranian Gas Company head Javad Owji arrived in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on Dec. 17 for meetings with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimukhammedov and Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow, Fars News Agency reported.

Washington will not permit Moscow to interfere with the implementation of the Trans-Caspian natural gas pipeline, a U.S. State Department official said Nov. 15, APA reported.
