Estonia has ratified the European Stability Mechanism by a parliamentary vote of 59-34, ERR reported Aug. 30. Estonia's participation in the mechanism will include an initial contribution of nearly 150 million euros, with later contributions potentially reaching 1.15 billion euros. The European Stability Mechanism is one of the emergency response funds tailored for and voted on by eurozone members to alleviate the crises in the eurozone's weaker economies.
