Brazil will deploy 7,500 troops to the country's borders with Bolivia and Peru for Operation Agata 6, the Brazilian government announced Oct. 9, Fox News reported.

Bolivia's National Federation of Mining Cooperatives has agreed to end demonstrations and take down roadblocks in exchange for rights to exploit parts of the Colquiri mine, La Razon reported Sept. 26.

The Bolivian government is considering the nationalization of Bolivianos Airport Services and is currently in negotiations with the company, Bolivian Minister of Public Works, Services and Housing Vladimir Sanchez said Sept. 24, La Razon reported Sept. 25.
