A fire damaged the Enbridge pipeline system that imports some 2 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and refined products from Canada to the United States the morning of Nov. 29. While global crude markets have panicked in response, pushing prices up $4 a barrel, there is no sign of foul play and the lines should be up and running at normal capacity in short order.
