Rumors have circulated in the past week over the recent death of a Hezbollah leader, Jamil al-Haj Saleh. Nablus TV reported Aug. 27 that Saleh was killed under “mysterious circumstances” when he fell Aug. 25 from a building under construction onto the public highway in southern Lebanese village of Yaron. Hezbollah released a brief statement following Saleh’s death, claiming without elaboration that he died under normal circumstances and that his death was the result of a “technical problem.”
