Iranian National Security Chief Saeed Jalili might visit Russia during the week beginning Dec. 2 for discussions on Tehran’s controversial nuclear program, RIA Novosti reported Nov. 30, citing an unnamed Iranian diplomatic source. The source added that the trip depends on the outcome of the nuclear talks among the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany, set for Dec. 1 in Paris.
Jalili is currently in London to meet with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, the main Western representative for the nuclear issue. The newly appointed Iranian official also has held discussions on the topic with top British security authorities.
