Karen Hooper

Karen Hooper specializes in Latin American economic, political and security-related issues. She monitors emerging trends in the region's largest countries, including Mexico's emergence as a powerful political and economic actor, the political turmoil in Venezuela and the increasing fragility of the Argentine economy. 

Hooper manages the development of new projects addressing global economic, energy and political trends and runs internal training and education sessions on issues in the region.
 
She is a sought-after speaker, addressing groups such as SEMI, a global association serving the semiconductor industry, and the Texas Economic Development Council on a wide range of geopolitical topics affecting investors and businesses. Hooper also develops custom reports for clients and frequently briefs clients.
 
Hooper has been featured in numerous broadcast and print media, including The New York Times, USA Today, NPR, CBC TV, Platts and CBS Radio Los Angeles.
 
She holds a master's degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.
