Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu said he was pleased that relations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia continue to develop, AAWSAT reported Jan. 2. The statement follows Davutoglu's meeting in Riyadh with Saudi Arabian Minister of Foreign Affairs Saud al-Faysal bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud. Davutoglu noted the two countries continue to cooperate on such regional issues as promoting stability in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yemen and Sudan, and helping resume the peace process in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
